Rainbird Magazine is proud to announce the September 2025 short story contest!
Submissions are due on the 1st of October at 11:59 pm. The word count is 600. Any stories that go over this word count will be automatically disqualified. The theme of the contest will be forgiveness. We are looking for stories that explore this theme and challenge the reader's preconceived notions about forgiveness. The top three stories will be published in Rainbird Magazine, with the top story receiving a 50$ reward, the second story receiving 20$, and the third story receiving 10$. Winners will be announced on November 1st.
